Set of Four DS Vorster Dining Chairs

A beautiful set of four mid-century dining chairs by celebrated South African manufacturer DS Vorster, crafted in the 1960s. Classic angled backrests and surprisingly modern lines for their time mean they’ll be a perfect match for many interior design styles. The seats have been professionally reupholstered in high-quality, textured fabric, adding comfort and elegance. While we have completed some light restoration, one chair’s leg came to us reinforced with a metal plate and we've chosen to retain this for stability and to prevent any damage. We have carefully refinished the wood around it, ensuring it blends seamlessly with the original finish and the rest of the set. The chairs carry subtle signs of their long life but remain sturdy, functional, and stylish—ready to elevate your dining space with authentic South African craftsmanship.
