Shipping Policy

IMPORTANT SHIPPING INFORMATION:

Please note that the fee for shipping outside of 150 km from Somerset West is not calculated at checkout. Therefore, please select “Outside of 150km from our shop, Please email info@thethriftyduo.co.za for a Quote” to complete your purchase. After your purchase is complete, we will assist you in obtaining a quote for shipping on your behalf, or you may make arrangements for shipping on your own.

For shipping to areas outside of 150 km from Somerset West, we work with preferred third-party shipping suppliers. Unfortunately, we cannot reserve any items until shipping has been arranged. If you prefer, you may use your own shipping method or transport.

For furniture items shipped to areas outside of the 150 km mark from Somerset West, shipping fees are based on the dimensions and/or weight of the item/s purchased. If crating is required for pieces containing glass, the purchaser must manage the process and payment.

To ensure the safe transport of all goods to areas outside our delivery zone, THE THRIFTY DUO( PTY)  extensively wraps each item at a starting cost of R50 per item before collection by the third-party shipping supplier. The cost of wrapping is dependent on the size of the item. Please note that shipping glass to areas outside of our delivery zone is not recommended, but if you choose to do so, you must accept the risk.

Please note that the owner of the purchased item/s is responsible for insuring them during transportation. THE THRIFTY DUO( PTY) cannot be held responsible for any damage once the item/s leave our premises as they are being delivered by a third-party.

For smaller items purchased, we offer shipping via Pudo or The Courier Guy. The shipping cost (based on weight and/or dimensions) will be provided to you before shipping, and the cost is in addition to the item purchased.

PLEASE NOTE: All items purchased must be collected or shipped within seven days of purchase unless otherwise agreed between parties. If no communication is received, and/or no agreement on storage is reached between both parties, and goods are not collected within a four-week period, the goods will be re-listed for sale. If a refund is due after the successful sale, a deduction of 40% of the re-listed selling price will apply to cover admin fees, packaging fees, bank fees, online fees, and storage space.
