Operating from Kirkcaldy Scotland, McIntosh stood as a prominent figure in 1960s and 70s British contemporary dining furniture, alongside G Plan of High Wycombe. Their exceptional mid-century modern pieces were the result of traditional craftsmanship, executed by highly skilled cabinet makers.

Established in 1869 by Alexander Henry (A.H) McIntosh (1835-1919) in Kirkcaldy, located in Scotland's Fife region, the company's influence rapidly extended across the United Kingdom and beyond. The business showcased its creations at the 1878 World Fair in Paris, marking its growing presence on the international stage.
