Mid-Century Modern DS Vorster Dining Table

Introducing a beautiful triangular extendable dining table by DS Vorster, a renowned South African mid-century furniture maker celebrated for his innovative designs and exceptional craftsmanship. This table showcases Vorster's hallmark clean lines, elegant forms, and meticulous attention to detail, embodying the essence of mid-century modern style.

Sourced from our local furniture auction house, this table stood out as a gem. It features a robust base design for incredible sturdiness, a beveled edge top, and a brand new Sapele veneer surface. The attention to detail is evident in its felt-lined extension brackets and stowaway extension. Beneath the extension, the table bears the maker's mark: a DS Vorster sticker alongside his signature and the date, September 11, 1962. The table comfortably seats six guests when unextended and eight when extended.
